purpose
This position serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Corvilla, Inc. The COO is responsible for the overall program management of the organization, incorporating Corvilla’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. The COO oversees all program operations and assures that the programs and services comply with state, federal and local regulations.

Be a constant champion and advocate for our clients, making sure that the entire organization always puts the needs of our clients first; ensure that the well-being of our clients is our number one priority
Plan, actively manage, and oversee the day-to-day operations of all services and programs to ensure successful long-term operations and financial sustainability
Work with CEO in assuring that the organization makes consistent and timely progress in achieving its mission and strategic plan
Oversee risk management and compliance activities, processes, and policies; ensure that Corvilla is always in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards
Oversee and maintain staff development and training
Actively engage in complex fiscal management, working alongside CEO on budgetary development and oversight
Manage crises and emergencies in a professional and effective manner
Keep current with industry specific trends, best practices, and new developments
Provide thoughtful executive leadership that is inclusive, transparent, and empowering in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission
Actively foster a positive organizational culture that encourages collaboration and trust, while recognizing positive contributions; strive to ensure Corvilla is an employer of choice in the region.
Effectively represent the organization and promote a positive organizational image to ensure adequate community representation
Serving as agency administrator in the absence of Chief Executive Officer

Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree with at least five years of prior executive/director level experience as a successful leader of a nonprofit organization serving people with disabilities
Experience in the Indiana Disability/IDD field required
Knowledge/experience with all areas of service including Supported Living, SGL, Employment, and Day Services
A proven track record of growing organizational capacity and programmatic impact
Experience with data analysis and an aptitude for making data-driven decisions
Proven abilities and experience in fiscal management
A strong passion for the mission and programs of Corvilla, more specifically a passion for working with people with disabilities.
Passion for creative program creation and organizational funding growth
Ability to review current organizational programs/structures and make recommendations that empower programmatic refinements
Capacity to excel at influencing and leading an organization towards positive growth
Capable of designing and directing strategies that enhance and support program operations
Knowledge of how to foster an environment of accountability, healthy work relationships and partnerships, and inclusivity among organizational staff in order to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment
Experience in creating and establishing clear, measurable program goals
Outstanding communication skills and ability to work well with media, staff, and the community
Ability to represent Corvilla positively in the community and develop high-level relationships that further our mission.
