Group HOme Team Lead

This position provides leadership by example, coaching and support to the group home staff as well as assisting with management responsibilities.

Specific Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide leadership by example to DSP’s.

  • Assist Manager with various duties including scheduling, finances, shopping, medical appointments, staff training, monthly reviews, client specific meetings, etc.

  • Participate in monthly planning of activities in the home.

  • Responsible for being On Call on a rotating basis and handling all staffing and scheduling issues as necessary up to and including covering the direct shifts as needed.

  • Be part of the team that ensures the home is in compliance with the State Dept. of Health regulations.

  • Support and demonstrate client safety, active treatment, household cleanliness, safe food preparation, proper medication administration.

  • Transportation of Clients to community resources, including routine lab & medical appointments.

  • Data collection of program goals & behavior tracking.

  • Work collaboratively with others to benefit Client needs.

  • Promote a positive and caring home environment.

  • All other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements

All positions at Corvilla, Inc. require that employees are free from all felonies. Must be a high school graduate and have at least one-year experience working with people who are developmentally disabled, a valid driver’s license and employee must be insurable by our insurance carrier.  Experience in individual program development is helpful.  Job experience must include personnel management, quality assurance, financial documentation, medication dispensation, systems management, communications skills, and positive relationship building skills.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, become certified in CPR/AED/First Aid, Mandt and Medication Administration.
